Although COVID-19 has taken away a lot of social events and opportunities to mix and mingle, there is a silver lining. There are still some fun, family-friendly car shows going on in 2020, in spite of many cancellations. A lot of these car shows are morphing into “car tours”, “fuel runs”, and online events. Since August is typically a big month for car shows, here is our short list of the fun, family-friendly car shows we’ll be excited to see in 2020.
Monterey Fuel Run, August 13 & 14, 2020, up the Central Coast of California
Monterey Car Week 2020 was cancelled, but that won’t stop the Monterey Fuel Run participants. This popular car tour is made up of Exotic, Hyper, and Supercars, and it starts in Santa Clarita, goes up the coast to Morro Bay, continues up to Monterey, and includes a bonus event at the Weathertech Laguna Seca Raceway. Our friend and marketer, Jennifer Filzen, was lucky enough to see some of the Fuel Run vehicles in Monterey, and she created a video for us. Check out the Porsche, Rolls-Royce, Lotus, and Ferrari!
Greg Borrelli’s May Madness Cruise Night, August 29, 2020 in San Rafael, CA
It all started in 1986 with a small gathering of Greg Borrelli’s Hot Rod friends. Today there are several hundred classic cars and hot rods from the early 1920s to muscle cars of the early ’70s. Orinda Classic Car Tour, September 12, 2020 in Orinda, CA
The Orinda Classic Car Tour will be covered by a Zoom Live Stream Broadcast – with video of all of the exotic and classic cars leaving the Orinda Village and in-route shots, interviews and live reporters. This will include both live shots plus other “Ken Burns” type video which will include photos and commentary of many of the beautiful classics and exotic cars.
