As owners of European automobiles, this is an exciting time of year. This is the season where many automobile aficionados polish up their favorite vehicle, head out for a fun day trip, and go see a beautiful lineup of classic automotive beauties.
To celebrate this wonderful time of year, here is our list of the best car shows located within a day’s drive of Folsom, El Dorado Hills, and Sacramento.
August 2-3, 2019 -- Hot August Nights in Virginia City, NV
More than just a car show, this entertainment-packed event kicks off the beginning of August in Virginia City, NV. If you love classic cars and cruising, head to the first weekend of Hot August Nights.
August 6-11, 2019 -- Hot August Nights in Reno & Sparks, NV
The follow up to Virginia City, of course, is the more famous destination in Reno. Reno has been the epicenter of Hot August Nights for 33 years, and this year’s lineup of rock and roll bands, racing, and other car-related activities looks like tons of fun!
August 9-18, 2019 -- Monterey Car Week & Concours on the Monterey Peninsula, CA
If you want to enjoy cool weather by the ocean and an entire week of car shows, head to the Monterey Peninsula for Monterey Car Week. The schedule is packed with many car-related activities in the cities of Carmel, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, Monterey, Seaside, and the famous Laguna Seca Raceway in Salinas. You are guaranteed to see plenty of Porsches, exotics, old school classics, tiny cars, and alternative fuel vehicles if you stay for the entire week.
August 23-25, 2019 -- 33rd Annual Goodguys West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, CA
If you love hot rods, muscle cars, drag racing, trucks, and classics, you’ll have a blast at the Alameda Fair Grounds in Pleasanton. There are many activities that will keep the young kids and the old kids entertained.
August 31, 2019 -- Ventura Nationals in Ventura, CA
If you’re passionate about custom hot rods and motorcycles, don’t miss this car show in lovely Ventura, CA. Held over Labor Day Weekend, you can enjoy the cars, the beach, and all the other wonderful things Southern California has to offer.
